2013 - Chesed - Star Trek: Into Darkness

Star Trek: Into Darkness



This post will focus on Star Trek: Into Darkness a movie from our ''Year of Chesed'' i.e. 2013 (3 + 1 = 4) in the Unifying Colour Theory and therefore on the attributions of Chesed and the colour blue.  As before we will use the attributions from Mystical Qabalah by Dion Fortune and supplement them if necessary.  The strong form of the Unifying Colour Theory is that not only are the movies artwork and production design dictated by the colour of the year, but that the content of the movie is determined by the other attributions of the Sefira in question.  This is becoming very obvious the more I study these movies and in Star Trek: Into Darkness you can clearly see these attributions being listed and ticked off as if they really are Painting by Numbers using these standard tables very directly.  This is exactly the way in which the Golden Dawn et al perform Pathworking.  I cannot stress how very important this may be to understanding exactly what it is that is going on here and I recommend you study that practice if you really want to comprehend it.

OPENING SEQUENCE - GEVURAH TO CHESED
WALKING THE PATH

In the opening sequence we see a red world populated by beings wearing bright yellow robes and our protagonists, wearing some kind of cyan, are running away from them.  Meanwhile Spock descends into a volcano to fight fire with ice (or red with blue).  The red land runs out, the pursued are forced to jump into the wide blue ocean and moments later the Enterprise arises from the ocean and rises up into the blue yonder. The volcano is frozen and Spock is teleported clear.  Looking at the diagram above you can see how we are literally crossing from Gevurah, our red Sefira to Chesed, our blue Sefira, where we will remain for the rest of the film.

The use of blue in this film is overwhelming, virtually every scene, is shot in blue lighting, or with blue colour grading, with many of the principle characters wearing blue uniforms.

72 ANGELS OF THE SHEMHAMPHORASH

This point is particularly interesting from a QBListic perspective so its worth pulling out.  One of the plot points of the film is that Khan, our superhuman is one of another 72 of his kind, a reference to the 72 Angels of the Shemhamphorash.  His kin are concealed inside 72 long range torpedoes.  Based on his use of ''vengeance'' - Is Khan a fallen one, or is he Tzadkiel, the Righteousness of God?

THE KING AND TZADKIEL

KHAN = KING

To what extent is this villain supposed to represent the Archangel of Righteousness or our throned and powerful king?  In as much as he is associated with the 72, his angelic nature is confirmed so in that we have to understand angelic morality if we want to understand his actions.  Sodom and Gomorrah were destroyed by wrathful angels who were acting morally from their perspective.  Archangels can be terrifying and destructive.

''And I will strike down upon thee with great Vengeance, and furious anger, those who attempt to poison and destroy my brothers, and you will know my name is the lord when I lay my vengeance upon thee.'' - Ezekial 25:17

Khan, who has seized control of the USS Vengeance, smashes it into the Earth because they have attempted to poison and destroy his brothers i.e. the other 72.  Painting by Numbers, see?

DISOBEDIENCE, TYRANNY AND THE THRONE

Star Trek: Into Darkness is a story about Kirk wrestling with the principles of Mercy and Obedience during a battle between two tyrants - Khan, a superhuman, and Admiral Marcus, a tyrannical upstart within the Federation.  Kirk is literally trying to follow the righteous path beset on all sides by the tyranny and the inequity of evil men. We begin with Kirk disobeying the Prime Directive (bearing in mind the virtue of Chesed is obedience) and paying the price by losing his ship and rank.  He gets his job back due to the mercy and kindness of Admiral Pike.  There are frequent references to the Captain's Chair (the throne) and what the office represents - ''You do not respect the chair'' (Admiral Pike), ''I've never sat in the chair before'' (Sulu), etc - scattered through the film.  Rather than assassinate Khan with long range torpedoes they decide to arrest him and bring him to justice, they chose the more merciful path but also the disobedient one.  Several times however Kirk fails to be merciful in this capture and only succeeds in the story when he is.  At one point, towards the end, the Admiral Marcus' daughter begs for mercy for the Enterprise but Admiral Marcus denies her plea and then is destroyed himself.  During the final peak of these dramatic themes of mercy vs venegeance vs disobedience vs tyranny Kirk is attempting to repair the warp core (Sefiroth) and reignite this blue flaming pillar/pathway and Spock is forced to be merciful to Khan in order to save Kirk from the radiation.
