What a line-up. Pi made a big impact on me when I watched it, but I don't think I watched it again, even though I think (memory a bit sketchy on this) that I'd bought it maybe on VHS if that was still a thing then. I thought it a great movie, but it's so effective in generating that sense of paranoia and suffocating apophenia that I don't think I ever decided to watch it again. Luckily I have transmuted so far into the character of Max (minus the elite mathematic skills or knowledge of financial markets) that I don't need to. :)

Kate was the name of Damien Thorn's love interest in the third Omen movie. She's also done that call out to Rosemary's Baby with the lace trimmed dress. ReplyDeleteIn 2024 we cut away from Gywn and we hit the battle of the bridge with Lancelot. She is not seen again until fairly soon in the next few days or whether these glimpses count (in the film she is in the castle against a wall which is the ''brick wall'' photo we saw perhaps). When we see her again she falls in love with Lancelot at first sight. This implies an affair of sorts will play out in the press perhaps that she was cheating on him. If this is the case what we see play out over the following days and perhaps the best part of this year is claims against her honour and so on until eventually it is revealed she is/was in love with someone else. Whether that person is/was Thomas Kingston I'm not sure. The crowd will love it. It could be almost Thronesian ''shame shame shame''.
Looking back at the battle with Lancelot and the aftermath we can see roughly that the King's cancer diagnosis (Cancerlot i.e. a lot of cancer) ties with the start of the scene (i.e. the battle with Cancer, its beaten all the other men, etc) and the death of Kingston (of Voltan fame see above) occurs when Lancelot is struck down and the sword is broken.
Alternatively the battle with Cancerlot and then the affair with Cancerlot implies the surgery gone wrong route for Kate. I think the affairs are my favoured interpretation. Although I do appreciate the wordplay on Lancelot thats pretty funny. Dark af of course but still pretty funny.
On the interplay between Flash and Excalibur here is it worth keeping our eye on Will as a potential Ming..? Esp for the bride of the hour routine.

Rewatching Beetlejuice, giant *sandworms* are a big problem, very much like Dune.

According to the map of the Tree, Beetlejuice is leading us away from Binah in 2027 (?), Binah being Saturn. Daath also being a form of Limbo.
